Mara Kunin
She/Her
Mara, co-founder and executive vice president, has spent the past 15 years electing Democrats up and down the ballot and across the country. An east coast native with a deep love for the Midwest, Mara caught the campaign bug in college while knocking doors for President Obama in Wisconsin in 2008. A campaign manager and political strategist, Mara went on to win races in key battleground states including Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New Hampshire.
More recently, Mara managed Congresswoman Angie Craig’s winning campaign for Congress in 2018, flipping a district not held by a Democrat in nearly 20 years, in one of the cycle's closest and most targeted races. Continuing on as Craig’s Chief-of-Staff, Mara led the Congresswoman's team through a successful re-election and the deadly Jan. 6th insurrection.
During the 2022 cycle, Mara served as a Regional Political Director for the DCCC. She oversaw more than $100 million in strategic paid media spending for over a dozen campaigns. Mara’s efforts resulted in the election of three new Members of Congress and the protection of several of the most endangered Democratic incumbents in the Country.
Mara has extensive experience implementing strategic and creative decisions on multi-million dollar paid communications programs across more than two dozen states and managing a first-time candidate to victory in what the Philadelphia Inquirer called “a major upset.”
Mara completed her B.A. at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin with a degree in Government and History. A Brookline, Massachusetts native, Mara now lives in Washington, DC and is an avid reality TV watcher.
